With the greatness of the 1990's Chicago Bulls circulating throughout the world via the The Last Dance documentary, many former players have chimed in on who's their pick for the greatest team ever. One of those players was Los Angeles Lakers legend, Shaquille O'Neal, who recently told ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani that his 2000 3Peat Lakers would win in a dream showdown because of him "killing Luc Longley, Bill Wennington, [Bill] Cartwright" - meaning the Chicago big guys. Ironically Shaq failed to mention Dennis Rodman as a potential match-up despite the fact that The Bulls used The Worm against The Diesel on multiple occasions. Amazingly - as you'll see in this video - Rodman has the largest degree of success against the big man despite giving up 5 inches and likely 90-100 lbs. The more stunning part is how Rodman's defensive philosophy as he plays behind Shaq rather than fronting or 3/4 fronting. While The Diesel easily backs down the other Chicago big men under the rim, Rodman is able to largely keep his catches and shots outside the paint allowing more time to help to arrive. Rodman's insane defensive versatility is only amplified further when you think that he spent the 80's defending the likes of Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins on the wing. Is Rodman the most versatile defender of all-time? Like, comment, subscribe!
